Croatia, Bosnia seek builder for Sava bridge - EBRD.

By bne IntelliNews January 29, 2013
Croat motorway operator Hrvatske Ceste and Bosnias transport ministry have opened a tender for the construction of the 0.66-km Svilaj bridge over the Sava river on the Corridor Vc, the EBRD said in a statement. To finance the works the two parties will use part of the proceeding of EBRD and EIB loans agreed earlier to finance the Corridor Vc construction in Croatia and from funds ensured by the Bosnian transport ministry towards the cost of the same motorway in Bosnia. The bridge will be built between the Slavonski Brod/Bosanski Brod and Slavonski Samac/Samac border crossings. Successful bidders should have had average annual turnover of EUR 26mn over the past five years and experience in at least two similar projects. They should also demonstrate they have access to liquid funds sufficient to meet construction cash flow for a three-month period estimated at no less than EUR 3.5mn. Interested companies should file their bids by March 18. Corridor Vc is one of the three major pan-European corridors in the region. It runs from the Hungarian capital Budapest through Croatia, Bosnia and ends again in Croatia, at its Adriatic town and major seaport of Ploce.
