Croatia awards Sveta Katarina island concession to local firm Kermas Vod Cetiri.

The Croatian government has adopted a decision to award a 50-year concession on the Sveta Katarina island to local firm Kermas Vod Cetiri company owned by businessman Danko Koncar, news agency HINA reported. The concession includes the construction and management of two nautical ports - Sveta Katarina port and Port 2, located at the Sveta Katarina-Monumenti, which is part of the Brijuni Rivijera tourism project. Kermas Vod Cetiri plans to invest EUR 30mn in the two marinas and further EUR 16mn in a hotel and other tourism facilities in the next five years. The concession fee totals HRK 2.2 (EUR 0.02) per square metre with a floating rate of 2.1% of the overall annual income. The concession was granted on some 344,000 square metres of last.
