Croatia Airlines to report loss of EUR 2.5mn due to volcanic ash cloud.

The national flag carrier Croatia Airlines reported that the direct damage, caused by the air traffic disruption in Europe, due to the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland , has been estimated to be EUR 2.5mn. The calculation was based on the total number of passengers, which the airlines had to transport on international and domestic flights in the period April 16-19. The airspace was partially reopened as of April 20.
