Local utility CEZ Distribution will invest some EUR 230mn in the technical upgrade of its electricity distribution system in Albania in the coming four years, company head Josef Hejsek told daily Panorama in an interview. However, the planned investments will only take place if state authorities approve an increase in energy prices, Hejsek added. We remind that the privatization contract signed by Czech power major CEZ and the Albanian government in 2008, envisaged investments totaling some EUR 200mn over a 5-year period.
