Bulgarias electricity production up by 8.9% y/y in Sep.

Electricity production increased by 8.9% y/y, but decreased by 12.5% m/m to 3,496 GWh in September, the statistics office reported. Electricity deliveries, which exclude the electricity, used by the power production units and power imports, increased by a much lower 2.16% y/y and decreased by 10.8% m/m to 2,304 GWh. The production of solid fuels increased by 26% y/y and 25.4% m/m to 3.036mn tonnes in September. The deliveries in the sector increased by 23.4% and by 20.3% to 3.298mn tonnes in September. The production of unleaded motor gasoline was up by 8.2% y/y and by 1.5% m/m to 132,000 tonnes. The deliveries expanded by 26.7% y/y and by 32% to 66,000 tonnes for the month. The production of transport diesel narrowed by 20% y/y, while it registered a 23.6% m/m increase to 136,000 tonnes. The deliveries decreased by 16.6% y/y, but increased by 49.5% m/m to 166,000 tonnes. The production of natural gas inched down by 1.8% y/y and slightly rose by 0.5% m/m to 419,000, while the deliveries contracted by 10.8% y/y, but increased by 6.8% m/m to 157mn standard cubic meters. No change was observed in the production of liquefied petroleum gases in annual and monthly terms, while the deliveries in the sector decreased by 9.4% y/y and by 3.3% m/m to 29,000 tonnes.
