Bulgaria new vehicle sales down by 32.9% y/y in Jan-Oct.

The decrease in new vehicle sales decelerated to 32.9% y/y to 15,407 in January-October, data from the car producers and importers association showed. In October alone, the sales of new vehicles, which include cars, buses and trucks, fell by 12% y/y to 1,874. The new car sales, specifically, narrowed by 33.1% y/y to 14,766 for the ten months, while the sales in October alone numbered 1,577. The most popular brand for the January-October period was Toyota (1,606 vehicles or 10.9% market share), followed by Dacia (1,056), Skoda (1,010), Citroen (916) and Opel (880). The bus and truck sales contracted by 27.8% y/y to 641 in January-October. The market leaders were Mercedes (177 trucks and 24 buses, total of 201), Iveco (169 trucks ad 30 buses, total of 199) and Renault (128 trucks).
