Bulgaria competition body permits Zvezda 97 acquisition by Macedonia Briljant.

Bulgarias competition watchdog permitted the acquisition of vegetable oil seed processors Zvezda 97 and its subsidiary Zvezda by Macedonian motor fuel retailer Briljant, Bulgarian media reported. The value of the deal has not been disclosed. Briljant acquired 86.22% of Zvezda 97 and thus indirectly 91.8% of Zvezda. The two Bulgarian companies held a market share ranging from 5.13% to 7.76% in 2008. Their combined turnover stood at BGN 16.9mn (EUR 8.6mn).
