Austrian Lasselsberger to boost Romania plant output by 50%.

Austrian building materials group Lasselsberger will increase the annual production capacity for decorative ceramic tiles by 50% to 3mn pieces at its plant in Cluj, northwestern Romania, Mediafax reported. The company expects sharp rise in sales both domestically and abroad, Lasselsberger Romania operations manager Eduard Macescu said. The Romanian plants of Lasselsberger export to Central and Eastern Europe, Finland and Greece but plan to expand to France, Germany or the UK this year. Lasselsberger operates two ceramic tile plants in Romania - Lasselsberger SA (formerly Cesarom) and Sanex Cluj-Napoca, now operating together as Lasselsberger Romania.
