Armenia suspends reconciliation efforts with Turkey.

Armenia said on Thursday (Apr 23) that it decided to suspend the process to ratify the protocols on normalising ties with Turkey . Coalition partners in the government asserted that since Turkey has not fulfilled its obligations within a reasonable period of time they decided to suspend the process. Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian comments that Armenia did not exit the process and did not close the doors but it only halted the process. PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said despite Yerevan 's decision Turkey remained committed to the reconciliation efforts.
