Albanian, Montenegrin governments join forces against corruption.

The governments of Albania and neighbouring Montenegro signed a memorandum of cooperation and understanding envisaging cooperation in the fight against corruption. The document was signed in Tirana by representatives of the Internal Audit and Anti-Corruption department at the Albanian council of ministers and the Montenegrin Anti-Corruption Initiative Directorate. The document foresees the implementation of joint actions with an emphasis on corruption prevention, followed by the implementation of the principle of integrity and good public administration. The relevant anti-corruption institutions will also coordinate policies through exchange of information and best practices. The first joint action is expected to be approved next month.
