Albanian government decides to improve regulatory reform.

The team in charge of Albanias regulatory reform headed by PM Sali Berisha has approved further measures aimed at reducing administrative burdens on businesses and improving the investment climate in the country, the cabinets press office said in a statement. Some of the key measures included in the reform package refer to reduction of the number and costs of business registration procedures. The number and the time to receive building permits as well as the ownership registration procedures will also be shortened. The authorities agreed to remove reference wage system, which will result in lowering of employer's contributions. The government will also facilitate procedures for import and export activities. Furher reforms will be introduced in the fileds of implementation of contracts, insolvency procedures, while authorities vowed also to raise investors protection in Albania. The implementation of the regulatory reform has been supported by World Banks investment arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
