Albania to continue participation in Afghanistan missions.

Albania will continue to participate in the international missions in Afghanistan with troops or other means, foreign minister Ilir Meta said. Albania joined the international initiative for maintaining security in Afghanistan back in 2002 and has so far sent 1,060 troops to the country, 251 of whom are currently deployed there. The country will also offer 100 scholarships to Afghan students. Some 30 Albanian police experts will assist their colleagues in Afghanistan.
