Albania to boost economic co-operation with EFTA countries.

Albania will strengthen its economic co-operation with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries after the two sides signed a free trade agreement, local news agency NOA reported. The agreement will enter into force on November 1, parliament speaker Josefina Topalli was cited as saying at a meeting with MPs of EFTA. The accord will have a positive effect on the libaralisation of the local trade and will enable Albanian entrepreneurs to enter new markets. The agreement regulates the free trade in industrial goods as well as agricultural and fishing products. Meanwhile, representatives from the member countries - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland said they are interested in local energy, infrastructure and tourism sectors.
