Albania to benefit under IFC EUR 25mn regional energy fund.

Albanian small and medium enterprises, energy companies, municipalities and households will be able to benefit under a EUR 25mn Green for Growth Fund, managed by the World Banks investment unit IFC to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy in Southeast Europe. The purpose of this initiative is to increase the availability of sustainable energy finance in the region and enable energy efficiency investments that will reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, decrease energy costs and increase energy security, the IFC said in a statement. Applicants will be eligible to receive financial assistance for the implementation of renewable energy projects.
