Albania eyes stronger political, economic ties with Azerbaijan.

Albania is interested in expanding its political relations with Azerbaijan, parliament speaker Jozefina Topalli declared at a meeting with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev in Baku. She also highlighted the necessity of promotoing bilateral economic cooperation. In this regard, energy, tourism and culture represented fields with great potential, Topalli added. The parliament speaker believed that collaboration between the national parliaments of the two countries will be the first step towards the consolidation of bilateral ties. President Aliyev said that Topallis visit gave impetus for expansion of the Azerbaijan-Albania relations. The head of parliament held a separate meeting with her counterpart Ogtay Asadov and PM Artur Rasizade.
