Romanian energy holding Craiova starts EUR 120mn environmental upgrade - report.

One of Romania's three major mining/generation energy holdings, Craiova, signed a funding contract for its RON 505mn (EUR 120mn) desulfurisation project, Mediafax reported, quoting sources. The EU will grant EUR 105mn. The company has recently submitted the documents for a second desulfurisation project, worth RON 236mn (EUR 56mn). A total of RON 101.3mn (EUR 24mn) will be obtained as EU grant. The energy holding Craiova is fully owned by the state.
