Slovak inflation remains at 2.5% year-on-year in October. Core and net inflation reached the value 2.7%, the Slovak Statistics Office published on November 14.

In October 2018 month-on-month the total inflation was influenced by core inflation and net inflation by 0.08 percentage points (p.p.) and 0.01 p.p., respectively. Meanwhile, indirect taxes had no effect on the total inflation.

Consumer prices went up by 2.5% y/y in total in October 2018, remaining at the same level of growth as in September, but down slightly from the 2.8% growth in prices in August. Inflation has been running at around the 2.5% market for all of this year and nearly a percentage point higher than the level of inflation in 2017.

In m/m terms, consumer prices went up in October by 0.1%. On average, consumer prices increased by 2.6% y/y in the 10M18.
