Consumer prices in Belarus grew by 0.5% month-on-month and 3.9% y/y in October, according to the nation's statistics service Belstat.

The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) will cut its refinancing rate from the current level of 9.5% per annum to 9% from November 20.

The move is designed to maintain the neutrality of monetary policy, the central bank said in a statement. According to the regulator, the dynamics of actual annual inflation, which stood at 5.3% in September, were in line with the NBB's projections. The inflation rate is expected to hover around 5% at the end of 2019 and during 2020.
