World Bank approves EUR 20.8mn loan for Croatia's nature protection.

The World Bank (WB) approved a EUR 20.8mn loan to help Croatia meet the EU integration criteria in nature protection, the WB said in a statement on its website. The EU Natura 2000 integration project will help Croatian nature protection shareholders, including culture ministry, farmers and landowners to establish an integrated ecological network. The funds will be used for financing small visitor centers, trails, and other infrastructure, related to the Natura 2000 objectives.
