Whirlpool Slovakia loss down by 50% y/y in 2009.

Household appliances producer Whirlpool Slovakia reported EUR 1.5mn loss in 2009, a 50% improvement from the EUR 3mn loss in 2008. The revenues in 2009 decreased by 12.8% y/y mainly as a result of the EUR 294mn loss in the sales if products. Whirlpool Slovakia, which produces household appliances in its plant in Poprad, northern Slovakia, posted EUR 351mn worth of revenues in 2008, down by 6.4% y/y.
