Volume of Croatia's new industrial orders up 4.4% y/y in September 2012.

The number of new industrial orders in Croatia increased by 4.4% on the year in September 2012 after going up by an annual 25.6% in the previous month, the statistics office said. Orders on foreign markets rose by 20% on the year in September, while domestic market orders went down by 13.3%. The highest annual increase in September was observed in the intermediate goods segment, where new orders rose by 26.5%. Decline was recorded in the consumer durable goods segment, where new orders fell by an annual 65.3%, in the consumer non-durable goods segment, with orders dropping by 17.1% on the year, and in the capital goods segment, where new orders went down by an annual 8.5%. The total seasonally adjusted industrial new orders in September rose by a monthly 4.8%. September industrial turnover went down by 9.5% on the year due to a 12.7% drop in foreign markets turnover and a 5.8% decline in domestic market turnover. The total seasonally adjusted industrial turnover in September dropped by 8.2% on the month pushed down by a 10.9% decrease in the domestic market turnover and a 2.9% decline in the foreign markets turnover. According to the main industrial groups, industrial turnover in the energy sector fell a monthly 27.5%, while capital goods sector turnover stepped down 8.3% on the month. Intermediate goods declined by 4.7% month-on-month. In the consumer durable goods sector total turnover rose 0.8% on the month.
