Value of cinema market in Poland seen up by 14-15% y/y in Q2/2011.

The value of the Polish cinema market (calculated in euro) may rise by 14-15% y/y in Q2/2011, as analysts of brokerage house BDM estimated in a report dated Jun 7. In Q1/2011, the value of the Polish cinema market fell by 14% y/y, boxoffice.pl said. In volume terms, the Q1 fall was smaller due to the price-list rises, implemented in mid-year (in limited range), and the attendance fall for more expensive 3D films, BDM stressed. According to analysts, Q2/2011 results should be better from last year ones, however, this period is traditionally weaker for cinemas. ISB
