USA asks Kazakhstan for land transit route for NATO non-lethal cargo.

The USA asked the Kazakh government to consider the land transit of NATO non-lethal cargo from Afghanistan during the pull-out of coalition forces, US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman has said. Earlier, NATO representative James Appathuri said that the land transit from Afghanistan via Russia required agreements with some other countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Presently, Kazakhstan allows for air transit through its territory.
