US car parts maker Johnson Controls will invest about EUR 20mn in the construction of a second factory in Macedonia, a release on the cabinet's website informs. The contracts should be signed within two to three weeks and construction is expected to start in mid-October. The second factory will be located in the technological industrial zone in the city of Stip. The facility will manufacture upholstery for car seats. It will open 1,400 new jobs and is expected to launch operations within a year. The factory will supply the companys European clients.
