US Honeywell signs EUR 11mn deals for equipment supply to Slovakian plant.

US diversified conglomerate Honeywell has selected two Italian companies to supply equipment and assembly lines for over EUR 11mn to its planned car-turbocharger plant in Slovakia, SITA news agency reported. Tecnomatic will supply technological lines for turbocharger production under a EUR 6.15mn contract and Esamero Group will supply equipment for EUR 4.85mn. Honeywell will invest EUR 38mn to build its plant in Presov, eastern Slovakia, where it will employ 446 people. Production is expected to start in 2012. The company will initially make 300,000 turbochargers a year and consequently raise the output to 1.5mn turbochargers in 2015. Honeywell will receive a EUR 19mn state subsidy package for the project.
