US producer of electronic components Jabil Circuit plans to expand the workforce at its Hungarian plant by 1,000 over the next couple of months, the company announced. The payroll at its local facility in the city of Tiszaujvaros in the north-eastern part of the country will increase by around 16.5% to 7,000 workers. The company explained that new hiring is meant to meet the higher production needs, resulting from the growing number of new long-term orders, received last year or in the beginning of this year. The Hungarian branch of Jabil Circuit posted HUF 200bn (EUR 700mn) of revenue in 2009, accounting for 10% of the total revenues of the parent company.
