US company ICA plans USD 6bn energy investment in Turkeys southeast.

Industry minister Nihat Ergun said that US company ICA International Capital Alliance plans USD 6bn of solar energy investment in the city of Kilis, in Turkeys southeast. ICA wants to produce solar panels and other related equipment, according to the minister. ICA also considers establishing a solar power plant with 200 megawatts and the cost of the plant is USD 700mn, Ergun said. The capacity of the planned power plant may be increased to 2,000 megawatts in three to four years, the minister said.
