United Bank for Africa opens first branch in Zambia

PanAfrican banking group, the United Bank for Africa Plc, has opened its firstbranch in Zambia, which isalso the bank's first branch in southern Africa.The bank has operations in Kenya,Uganda and Tanzania and started operations in Zambia on Jan11 this year. UBA plans to grow its customers using its well-tested strategy ofbringing innovative banking products to a wide range of market segments. Italso plans to target corporate business on the back of its banking presence inother countries.
