UNIQA Slovakia pre-tax profit falls by 2.8% in 2010.

The pre-tax profit of the Slovak unit of Austrian insurance group UNIQA fell by 2.8% y/y to EUR 7mn in 2010, SITA news agency informed. The companys written premiums declined by 0.8% y/y to EUR 103mn last year. Uniqa has 350,000 clients and offers a wide range of life and non-life insurance products. Austrias UNIQA is one of the leading insurance groups in central Europe. It owns 30 insurance companies in 20 regional markets.
