UMC plans EUR 2mn investments in western Slovakia.

Consumer electronic producer Universal Media Corporation (UMC) plans to invest approximately EUR 2mn in its plant in Nove Mesto nad Vahom, western Slovakia, news agency SITA reported. The company plans to build new parking lots, offices and storage facilities. Construction works will start in 2011 and are expected to be completed within a year. Twenty new jobs will be created. UMC operates a facility for the assembly and production of consumer electronic products. It employs 700 people.
