Ukraine expects USD 7-12bn worth of investment in 2010, EconMin Bohdan Danylyshyn has said. "The issue does not concern only a traditional source of money flows - purchases in the financial sector and an inflow in banks' assets," he said, adding that private investors are planning to invest USD 3.4bn as part of Ukraine 's preparations for the UEFA EURO 2012. The minister said that "this money will be allocated for already approved and agreed objects of investment." In addition EconMin expects a significant inflow in the aircraft industry, the modernization of the defence industry, shipbuilding, and energy saving projects. Danylyshyn also spoke about attractiveness of investment in agriculture.
