Ukraine and Shell sign deal worth USD 800mn.

Ukrgazvydobuvannya gas production company, a daughter company of Naftohaz Ukrainy, and Shell, have signed an agreement on joint efforts to search and develop oil and gas fields in the Dnieper-Donets Basin. The amount of an investment is seen at USD 800mn, Ukrgazvydobuvannya announced in a statement. In particular, operations will be conducted at six licensed sites, namely: Shebelynsky, West Shebelynsky, Pavlovsk-Svitlovsky, Melekhivsky, Gersevanivsky, Novo-Mechebylivsky. According to Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuriy Boiko, this is considered the first important joint agreement that allows increasing gas production in our country in the near future.
