Turkeys medical products firm Matek to invest EUR 15mn in Macedonia.

Turkish company Matek, a medical products manufacturer, has decided to invest EUR 15mn in building a plant in the industrial zone Bunardzik near Skopje, state news agency MIA reported. Visar Fida, director of Macedonias foreign investments agency, comments that Mateks product range includes biopsy needles, biopsy markers, surgical sets, surgical gowns, catheters and stents. At the beginning, the Turkish investor will hire 100 workers. The company plans to boost its staff in Macedonia to 300 persons in several years.
