Defence minister Ismet Yilmaz said Turkey was planning to purchase 100 F-35 fighter jets for USD 16bn. Two of the fighter jets will be delivered in 2015, according to the minister. Abandoning the purchase of the jets is not on the agenda and depending on ongoing negotiations, Turkey would take a decision on future orders, Yilmaz said.
