Turkey signs USD 12bn deal with UAE to develop coal fields, power plant.

The governments of Turkey and the United Arab Emirates signed a major energy deal worth as much as USD 12bn. The deal includes the development of coal fields in Turkeys Afsin-Elbistan region to produce annually 45bn kwH electricity from a planned 8,000 MW power plant. The investment is expected to create 15,000 jobs.
