The transport ministry suspended the license for air transport services of Air Slovakia , the ministry spokesman Stanislav Jurikovic informed. He explained that the decision was taken after a similar move by the civil aviation office, whose audit found shortcomings of the airline operation. Jurikovic explained that a valid air operators license by the aviation office was a necessary condition for the ministry to award a license for air transport services. He added that the ministry would monitor the developments at the company during the next three months and its financial situation. Debtors of Air Slovakia initiated through the Bratislava District Court restructuring proceedings for the airline on February 26 and the court has thirty days to reject or approve the restructuring.
