Trade deficit recorded at USD 800mn in August.

Vietnam recorded a trade deficit of USD 800mn during August this year. As reported by Dow Jones International News, according to the statistics released by the General Statistics Office, the exports reduced 10.9% y/y to USD 8.3bn and the imports were registered at USD 9.1bn. The country recorded a trade deficit of USD 6.22bn during the first eight months of this year. The country recorded a trade surplus in July, which was the first monthly surplus since March 2009, was mostly supported by the exports of gold.
