Total labour costs rise by 4.4% y/y in Poland in Q3 of 2012.

Total hourly labour costs in Poland grew by 4.4% y/y in Q3 of 2012 (after rising by 3.8% y/y a quarter earlier) and in the economies of the 27 member states of the European Union (EU), they were up by 1.9% y/y, according to Eurostat. At that time, in Poland, wage and salary costs increased by 4.4% y/y and by 3.8%, respectively, while labour costs other than wages and salaries (including the employers' social contributions plus employment taxes) were up by 4.6% and 3.9%, respectively. In the industry sector, Poland's total hourly labour costs grew by 5.7% in Q3, in the construction sector, they were up by 0.5% and in the services sector, they rose by 3.9%.
