Tengizchevroil becomes leader of oil production in Kazakhstan in 2011.

In 2011, TengizChevroil (TCO) held a leading position in terms of oil production in Kazakhstan (32.3%). TCO is followed by Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (15.1%), KazMunayGas'(9.9%), CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas (7.8%) and MangistauMunaiGas (7.2%). Taking into account the distribution of shares of foreign companies in subsoil users, the major share in oil production in 2011 accounted for U.S. and China, as well as Kazakhstan.
