Telenor Serbia posts revenues of EUR 78.1mn in Q2.

The Serbian unit of Norway's mobile operator Telenor in Serbia posted revenues of EUR 78.1mn in Q2/2010, down by 16% y/y, the company said in a statement. The mobile operator's subscription base fell by 7,000 to 2.9 mn in Q2. Telenor's market share in the country stayed flat at 34%. EBITDA in local currency rose 2% y/y on the back of 10% cut in operating expenses. The company also said it slashed 10% of its workforce in May under reorganisation efforts. Telenor is one of the three mobile operators in the country, besides mobile arm of state held Telekom Srbija and Vip Mobile, part of Telekom Austria Group.
