Telenor Hungary EBITDA up by 1% y/y in Q3.

Telenor Hungary reported an increase of EBITDA by 1% y/y to HUF 21.1bn in Q3, the company reported on its website. The total revenues of the operator were still down by 5.4% y/y to HUF 42.5bn in Q3, however at a slowing pace. The drop in revenues resulted from cuts in regulated prices on the side of call termination and lower voice turnover. Non-voice revenues remained unchanged in annual terms. The number of subscribers dropped slightly by 0.2% q/q in Q3, to 3.6mn at end-September due to decline in the pre-paid segment. Telenor Hungary reported that operational expenditure dropped ytd, as a result of the implementation of cost restructuring program. In particular, the capital spending shrank by 43% y/y to HUF 1.6bn in Q3. Telenor Hungary is part of the group of Norwegian telecom Telenor.
