Telecom GTS Slovakia sees EBITDA growth of 13% y/y in 2009.

Alternative telecom operator GTS Slovakia generated an EBITDA profit of EUR 10mn in 2009, rising by 13% y/y, chairman of the companys board of directors, Stanislav Molcan, said. Total sales amounted to EUR 34mn and increased by 7% y/y while capex reached EUR 4.4mn. Molcan admitted that turnover and profit growth slowed down in 2009 but emphasised that performance was generally very satisfying, taking into account the stagnation on the overall telecom market due to the economic crisis. GTS Slovakia is part of the international GTS Central European Holding group, registered in the Netherlands .
