Ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) was supported by 44.3% of respondents in July, down by 1.5pps as compared to the end of last year, the latest poll conducted by the Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) showed. The survey was carried out in the period from June 27 to July 10, 2012 among 1,000 respondents. Second ranked the Socialist People's Party with a 16.6% support (17.2% in December), followed by the New Serbian Democracy with 8.5% (9.1% in December), the Social Democratic Party with 7.8% and the Movement for Change with 7.9%. President Filip Vujanovic leads the ranking in terms of popularity with a score of 3.38 (on a scale of 1 to 5) in July. However, the percentage of people that believed in Vujanovic dropped by 13.6pps as compared to December 2011 (to 48.6%). Vujanovic was followed by former Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic with a score of 2.96 and Prime Minister Igor Luksic with a score of 2.87. The support for accession to the EU was 66% in July, increasing as compared to December 2011, when it was 53%. The support for accession to NATO has also increased to 37% from 33% in December 2011. |
