Some 33% of MENA's Internet users shop online -Survey.

Around 33% of Internet users in the MENA region purchased goods and services online bringing the total shoppers from the region to around 20mn, according to a survey by online research company Effective Measure and Spot On Public Relations. The GCC region leads with some 43% of Internet users buying products or services online, figures showed. Only 20% of Internet users buy online in the Levant and North Africa. The survey also found that female shoppers are more likely to buy clothes and accessories, while men prefer electronics. The survey was completed on a sample of almost 7,000 Internet users across the MENA region
