Slovakias current account surplus rose further in October 2012, following a preliminary surplus of EUR 159.6mn for the previous month, the countrys central bank said in the summary of its monthly bulletin. The rise came mainly as a result of an increase in the trade surplus and a decline in the deficit of the income balance, the bank said. Other component balances remained largely unchanged, it added. Detailed figures will be available later today (Dec 19), when the central banks monthly bulletin is published on its website.
