Slovakia Jan-July tax revenues miss plan by 8.6%.

Slovakias tax revenues amounted to EUR 4.9bn as of end-July, falling short of the plan for the period by 8.6%, SITA news agency reported citing data from the Finance Directorate. The lowest collection rate was observed in the local taxes on goods and services that missed the target by 10.8% with VAT collection totalling EUR 2.5bn, or 12.6% below expectations. The income tax revenue stood at EUR 1.31bn, only 0.8% below the target. The 2012 state budget envisages tax revenue of EUR 9.2bn.
