Slovakia has 27mn tons of extra grrenhouse quotas for 2011.

Slovakia has 27mn tons of redundant Assigned Amount Units (AAUs) of greenhouse gases for sale in 2011, news agency SITA informed citing Beatrice Hudakova, a spokesperson for the environment ministry. The quotas could be sold directly, indirectly or auctioned by end-2012. Currently, the market price varies between 5 and 7 EUR per ton. The ministry has not yet considered any potential buyers for the countrys AAUs. At this phase, it is premature to respond to this question," the ministrys spokesperson said as cited by SITA.
