Share of bad loans in Slovakia slips to 4.7% in July 2012.

The share of bad loans in Slovakias banking sector reached 4.7% of total loans as of end-July 2012, down from 4.78% at end-June, central bank data showed. The total value of bad loans fell 2.2% y/y to EUR 1.97bn in July, following a 2.7% yearly decline in June. The total value of the bad loans in the Slovak banking system fell on an annual basis for the first time in September 2011 following a constant upward trend since the countrys entry into the euro zone in 2009. Compared to the previous month, bad loans edged 0.1% higher in July.
