Serbia and Croatia have been invited to decide by November 13 whether they would take part in the construction of the Bulgarian nuclear power plant Belene, Beta news agency reported. Energy minister Petar Skundric said that Serbia would soon decide on its participation in the project, since it was a major project on a regional and European scale. According to an earlier statement of Bulgarian PM Boiko Borisov, Serbia had expressed readiness to finance 5% of the Belene construction costs. Media have earlier reported that China Development Bank (CDB) was interested in supporting Serbia's participation in the project. |
