Serbia's retail sales drop by real 5.8% y/y in February.

Serbia's retail sales contracted by a real 5.8% on the year in February after shrinking a real 3.2% in January, the statistics office said in a statement. In nominal prices, February retail sales were 0.3% lower on the year and 5.4% down on the month. On a monthly basis, February retail sales dropped a real 6.2% after falling a real 22.6% in January. In the first two months of 2012, retail sales shrank by a real 4.7% on the year but rose by a nominal 1%. Last year sales shrank by a real 16.7% after falling 0.9% in 2010.
